What is the Earthshot Prize?

Founded by Prince William in 2020, the Earthshot Prize is a global initiative designed to accelerate solutions to the world’s greatest environmental challenges. Each year, the prize identifies and supports groundbreaking innovations that help protect and restore our planet across five key areas: clean air, nature restoration, ocean revival, waste reduction, and climate action.

Being nominated for this prize is an incredible recognition of the real-world impact Crover is making in the fight against food loss and waste—an issue that costs the global economy billions each year and contributes significantly to carbon emissions.

Why Crover?

Every year, over 630 million tons of grain are lost due to poor storage conditions, leading to massive financial and environmental consequences. Our grain-swimming robot offers a revolutionary solution—helping farmers, cooperatives, and grain storage operators monitor and manage grain with precision, reducing waste, improving efficiency, and making food supply chains more sustainable.

This nomination underscores the importance of our work in creating smarter, more resilient food systems—not just for today, but for future generations.
